With so many hemp-derived CBD brands popping up, it can be hard to tell the high-quality products apart from the lower-quality. The news media is doing their part to investigate, and finding that some CBD and hemp products do not contain the ingredients that packaging promises. That’s why lab testing is so important to us here at Relive Everyday. It’s vital for us to operate with integrity and give you the best products for your needs.
Here’s what you need to know about CBD testing.
Certificate of Analysis (COA)
This is an authenticated document, issued by an appropriate authority, that certifies the quality and purity of pharmaceuticals, and animal and plant products. The certificate of analysis is mostly used for food products, wines and spirits, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. This certificate can be issued by a certification authority, often a third-party testing lab. This kind of testing assures that consumers are receiving a pure and quality product.
Relive Everyday COA
Relive Everyday always provides third-party testing Certificates of Analysis (COA) on our products to prove the product’s potency and show proof of no residual solvents or pesticides in the final product. Our products are currently tested for the following: Potency, Heavy Metals, Residual Solvents, Aflatoxins, and Microbial Contaminants. You can visit our Lab Results page to view each product’s most current lab results.
Are Relive Everyday Hemp Extract Products Tested in a Certified Lab?
Yes. Our labs are ISO 6, cGMP, and HACCP certified and audited through BSI. We are also on track to become one of the first 5 companies certified through the US Hemp Authority Certification Program.
That’s a lot of acronyms! Here’s a breakdown of what those acronyms mean and why they assure Relive Everyday customers that our products are high-quality.
This test is for what’s called “cleanroom or clean room.” This is a rating for the facility where our products are manufactured. Cleanrooms are designed to maintain deficient levels of particulates, such as dust, airborne organisms, or vaporized particles.
cGMP refers to the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the FDA. CGMPs provide for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities. This test shows that Relive Everyday is adhering to the CGMP regulations and assures the identity, strength, quality, and purity of drug products by requiring that manufacturers of medications adequately control manufacturing operations. This formal system of controls at manufacturing facilities prevents contamination, mix-ups, deviations, failures, and errors. This assures that products meet their quality standards.
Hazard analysis and critical control points, or HACCP, is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical, and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe and designs measures to reduce these risks to a safe level. HACCP is a standard process used by the FDA and USDA to ensure products are made in line with food safety and public health best practices.
BSI is the company that currently conducts Relive Everyday’s lab testing. It is a leading provider of certifications and advisory services. BSI helps organizations manage risk, performance and sustainability activities that transform best practice into habits of excellence.
Hemp Authority Certification
The U.S. Hemp Authority™ Certification Program is our industry’s initiative to provide high standards, best practices and self-regulation, giving confidence to consumers and law enforcement that hemp products are safe and legal. This new initiative offers top-tier testing laboratories, and quality assessors developed comprehensive guidance for growers and processors of hemp.
